it is still not to late to wish for the new year i guess. so,happy new year 2013.
so people kept talking of their wishes for this new year here and there as it was approached by. and when it's my turn i just simply had no idea and just hoping for the better than before. everybody wants to have a good time throughout the year i bet, it's just the matter on how hard you try to accomplish them. you just can't simply say that i want to be successful, i want that and i want this and by right what you're doing is only sitting, wake up late and eating. (ok, tengah ludah kat muka sendiri, puih)
let's review the starting events for this year. so on last 1st of january, i was trapped in a rare-situation of broken bus where it ended up that i was in the bus for almost 24 hours for a usual 12 hour journey terengganu - perlis. pfft. the climax happened when the bus suddenly stop around 6 o'clock up high on hill where i don't know where it was at first. i thought it was the usual pit-stop where people go to pee,eating,chit-chatting or having fresh air. but then i was aware that it took quite a long time break where supposedly we already continued the journey. the surrounding area were very dark while in the bus it was terribly cold due to the air-cond and also the rain on the outside. so i went down the bus to warm myself up around 7 o'clock when it was getting clearer and perform the subuh prayer. the atmosphere is quite freezing. it was greenish all around since we were stuck in the middle of the jungle,on the hill, near the Gerik area. some people were grumbling, condemning the broken bus, some were trying to get to know with each other, and me,sat on the bench and trying to grasp the moment. well, bukan selalu stuck atas bukit, somewhere that i don't know where pulak tu. so,i watched over the scenery, the sun is climbing shyly to show up itself, the fog is covering up the trees making the the green trees looked whiter, the air is so refreshing, also sometimes trucks or lorries were passing by through the road that is narrowing down the hill, and the sky is raining slowly which actually creating dew on the grass. it was a blast, to be given a chance once in a lifetime to really admire the Creator's earth in this situation.
Approximately around 10 o'clock the driver managed to fixed the bus and continued the long journey. we've rode across six states overall starting from terengganu-kelantan-perak-penang-kedah-perlis since all the passengers have different destinations. the bus moved very very slow as the driver said that he was really tired and restless due to the packed of driving schedules. luckily there was a very concern uncle who gave snacks and accompanied him driving. i was questioning myself,so where is the second driver at a critical time like this? sigh. so it was almost 5 o'clock and suddenly the bus stopped at changlun terminal bus station. there were only two passengers at that time,me and a fine-young-looking guy. ouch. sadly we have to get down there as the driver said that he can't really continue the driving anymore. he looked really exhausted. so there i was, pulling all my luggages and waiting for the rescuers picking me up at changlun, not dare to cross the perlis' line even it is just miles away. what a day.
but then i came across to realize that how bad you think you have to face something, there were bunch of people out there who have to face worse than us. maybe i thought that i had missed all the classes on that day, workers who cannot go to work, a lady who keeps complaining of the late, but actually we never try to understand that the driver himself has been driving non-stop for a month, alone, for hundreds of hours but yet still pull himself strongly to drive and make sure all the passengers arrived safely. and try to compare the payment that he got with all the sacrifices that he made rather than us, or me, who easily get the money each semester without have to carry any burdens and just study? while all the passengers are sleeping and dreaming soundly at the back, the driver was driving soundlessly alone at the front. for just a simple gratitude to show our appreciation, have we ever thanked them?
# seek for the world, there are tonnes of things to be pondered on.
